At the first generation level, the Bolour family’s Southern California experience began in the 1980’s with the focus of long term investing in commercial real estate in emerging neighborhoods, such as Hollywood, downtown Los Angeles and Koreatown. At the second generation level, Mark Bolour built upon the family’s real estate foundation through the development and redevelopment of assets in the family’s portfolio as well as new strategic acquisitions , including the entitlement and ground-up construction of multifamily, condominiums, retail and mixed-use projects.
Founded in 1985 in Portland, Oregon, Provenance Hotels is owns and operates a collection of urban boutique hotels dedicated to enhancing the communities where they are located and making every guests’ stay memorable with gracious service, art-inspired design and a locally-sourced amenities. At its eight award-winning locations in Seattle, Tacoma, Portland and Nashville, the company develops leading-edge sustainable hospitality practices that range from green transportation alliances with Zipcar and Tesla to hyper-local, eco-friendly product sourcing that includes pedi-bike coffee delivery and rooftop bee hives. In addition to the Hermosa Beach project, Provenance Hotels is developing a hotel that will open in New Orleans in 2015.
